Patch Notes:

I have tried to do something close to my live sound, so I recorded the track in one stereo take that was a bit longer than 5 minutes. Then I trimmed it down and spliced it into a 5 minute piece.
All sounds are AE Modular with reverb added on the computer.

The harsher drone sounds use several of the envelope generators, rigged to feedback and re-trigger at audio rates by patching the 'End' outlet back to the 'Gate' inlet. I also made some of the VCAs feed back to oscillate, with an attenuator added to adjust volume and feedback threshold. I wanted to get a slightly out-of-control Lunetta feel, in the absence of the NovaDrones that usually appear in my music of the last few years.

Another voice uses the pulse wave output from the VCO, which is fed through the mmDiv clock divider in decimal mode. Four of the numbered outputs of the divider are sub-mixed so I can play with the different divisions. A Seq16 step sequencer sends CV to the 'shift' input of mmDiv to rhythmically mess with the divisions. Changing the pulse width also changes the timbre and creates little unstable spots where the divider can't quite make up its mind. The output of the sub-mix is split to go to each input of the Nyle Filter in order to take some of the harshness off and add some resonance.

A Grains module, loaded with a 'west coast' oscillator firmware, provides another drone that becomes rhythmic as two out-of-phase sequences from a Korg SQ-1 modulate the two timbral parameters, without altering the pitch.

The remaining drones come from the FMOS (for the very deep sound near the end), and Wavetables oscillators, both kept fairly simple with no further processing.

Finally, the Multi FX module is set to the Ring Crush effect and everything sometimes gets fed through it at some point, mostly later in the track. A descending sawtooth from the LFO modulates the pitch parameter to create that endlessly-descending background texture that, to me, sometimes sounds like human voices, sometimes wolves.

The title, 'Terms' could mean any and all senses of the word: periods of time; sets of agreed constraints; terminals; words etc.
