Patch notes:
I’m happy to have been chosen to beta test a really great prototype module by Kyaa called “Euclid Grid”. Essentially, it’s 4 sequencers in one that you can expand and contract sequences in real time, add fills in real time, mute, and many other great functions. That module is the brain for this patch. The other modules used in this patch are 2OSC/d (for the Bass sequence and synth sequences), SEQ 8 (to change pitch while it’s linked to the Euclid grid), MIXCONSOLE, MIXER 4-4 (as a sub-mixer for the various drum sounds), DRUMKIT, KICK, GRAINS (the Lofi MultiFX firmware), NOISE (Snare and Hi Hat sounds), SAWVOX (the growling pad), MS20 FILTER, SV FILTER, and all the necessary ENVs/VCAs and LFOs. In the MIXCONSOLE, I put the DELAY LOFI TYPE into FX Send 1 and got some really great slapback delay.
I recorded a performance of each channel of the MIXCONSOLE individually into Logic Pro X via a Steinberg UR22 audio interface. I had an idea of the arrangement before hand and kept it in mind as I recorded. First I recorded the drums, then bass, then FX, then synth sequences. I cleaned up the noise, EQ’d as necessary, and added some FX like reverb, delay, and added some FX sends. Overall, it was a fun track to record and test the prototype of Euclid Grid out on. I hope you enjoy.
