This song contains 4 different patches and a simple noise sequence, recorded into Reaper. In this particular project I created the sequenced bass part first, which consists of three different oscillators including the FMOS module.
I then moved on to create the lead melody, using the previous patch as a basis for this, although ultimately it ended up being a single oscillator with the LOFI delay module for some added interest. I then created the swelling bass note that punctuates different sections of the song, and used the Solina to add some minor chords to accompany it.
The last part I added was a simple 16th note white noise sequence with a slow LFO controlling it’s filter cut-off. To finish the song I added a touch of stereo reverb to the lead part and bass swells. Each part was adjusted in real-time during recording, to create dynamic changes in filter level, delay amount, attack and decay envelopes.
The plethora of drift-space soundscapes on this album make me appreciate it even more than the previous Modular Works release. They just keep getting better. 69dragynz

"Extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world." This is the very definition of the word 'ethereal' . . . and also of this album.
