Patch notes:
The AE Modular system is a two row case with only one blank left! I am also using an Electron Octatrack for rhythm sampling and sequencing, An Arturia Keystep Pro for note sequencing and live playing, a Source Audio Nemesis Delay pedal and a GFI Audio Specular Tempus for reverb duties!
I first created separate patches for various drum sounds to sample directly into the Octatrack. I designed a kick drum, closed high hat, rimshot and a few others that I didn't use.
In real time, I had 3 simultaneous patches playing, connected to the Keystep Pro. The main patch is what I call the "Numbers" patch, using about half the modules, but tweaked to sound totally unique with a high pitched fast moving sound synced with the system clock. The second patch is a simple CV into the Solina module from the Keystep Pro to provide a classic string synth sound, controlled both by the keyboard and the Chord Var knob.
The final patch started life as a percussive patch creating a tom sound, but in the end I decided to use it real time as a sequenced bass line using an oscillator and a low pass gate! All of this was performed and
recorded real time into a small Tascam recorder and leveled in RX8.
