The patch is pretty simple, mainly fuelled by self-triggering envelopes. The end of ENV 1 triggers ENV 2, and vice versa. These are each mapped to a VCA, controlling the levels of two oscillators which feed into the MultiFX for some deep ambient reverb. Where it gets interesting is that the 2ATT/CV is set to CV mode, and controls the attack of ENV 2 alongside the decay of ENV 1! This means as the piece goes on, the sounds get more frequent, and more intense. The heartbeat is created through the kick module triggered by the TRIQ164, which gradually turns from a 16-step to a 12-step sequence to make the heartbeat sound faster. Combined with feedback from the MultiFX, and I found I was able to really ramp up the intensity with just a few potentiometers - great for a live jam!
